Long Ford Chapel Hills. We expect the new 2020 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid to arrive

interior, engine options, trims, specs, fuel economy, colors and overall
redesigns.

2020 Ford Escape Price
The new Ford Escape starts at only $24,885. This is the
price for the base 2020 Ford Escape S trim. For people that prefer all of the
top luxuries, the high-end 2020 Ford Escape Titanium has a starting price of
$33,400. To save money on fuel, it makes the most sense to own a Ford Escape
hybrid model with a middle of the road starting price of $28,255.
2020 Ford Escape Trim Levels
The 2020 Ford Escape comes in 4 trim levels: S, SE, SEL,
Titanium. These are the same as last years' options. A 2020 Ford Escape S
begins at $24,885 and comes complete with a rearview camera, SYNC infotainment
system and six-way adjustable driver's seat. With a 2020 Ford Escape SE, expect
to pay $27,095. The standard equipment includes fog lights, dual-zone automatic
climate control, a SYNC 3 touch-screen system and push-button start. The 2020
Ford Escape SEL has a starting price of $29,255 and features rear parking
sensors, leather-trimmed front seats, a power liftgate and leather-wrapped
steering wheel. At the top of the line is the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium which
begins at just $33,400. This model features ten-way power-adjustable front
seats, premium sound and a navigation system.
2020 Ford Escape MPG
When it comes to saving money on fuel, there are a few
options with the 2020 Ford Escape. The base model achieves 21/29 mpg, but
upgrading to the turbocharged engine increases that to 22/29 mpg instead. As
you would have guessed, the 2020 Ford Escape hybrid will be the ideal option
for maximum fuel efficiency.
2020 Ford Escape Hybrid/Plug-In Hybrid
We won't see the 2020 Ford Escape hybrid until 2020, but we
do know that the starting price is set at $28,255. While it contains many of
the same specs of a new Ford Escape SE (the trim level the hybrid option is offered
with), it is powered by a 2.5-liter I4 in conjunction with an 88kW electric
motor. We don't have the exact EPA-estimated MPG ratings on the Ford Escape
hybrid yet but expect it to be around 39 mpg combined.
Ford Escape Redesign Changes
Among the changes with the 2020 Ford Escape redesign, the
most notable are the exterior body changes and addition of the latest engine
option. This Ford Escape redesign offers some car-like upgrades and a new
hybrid model. On some of the trims, there are even more advanced tech features
included as well such as a heads-up display.
2020 Ford Escape Performance
The 2020 Ford Escape offers the option of 4 engine choices.
There's the 1.5-liter EcoBoost I3 with 180 horsepower. Owners can also choose
the 2.0-liter EcoBoost I4 for an output of 250 horsepower. Both of these
options come standard with the eight-speed automatic transmission. A 2.5-liter
hybrid I4 pumps out 198 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid has a combined 209
horsepower. Both of these hybrid cars feature a CVT.
Technology & Amenities
The 2020 Ford Escape contains some of the latest
technological advances. This includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, eight-inch
touchscreen on models higher than the SE plus Ford SYNC. Every trim level now
comes complete with the fully digital gauge cluster.
2020 Ford Escape Interior
The 2020 Ford Escape has a newly redesigned interior to
provide more space, an efficient design plus additional comfort. While it still
contains five seats, the second-row transforms into a flat loading floor. On
the higher trim levels, there's now a premium ten-speaker Bang & Olufson
sound system included as standard equipment.
Exterior Dimensions & Body Style
The 2020 Ford Escape new body style features a car-like
appearance. It looks remarkably different from the previous year. With the lower rear hatch opening combined
with the loading floor, hauling cargo is less complicated. Plus, an Escape SE
Sport boasts of a model-specific grille and wheels to create a new look. While
we don't know the exact numbers yet, we do know that the vehicle is longer,
wider and lower than ever before.
2020 Ford Escape Reviews & Ratings
The critics can't say enough about the 2020 Ford Escape. In
a new Ford Escape review by CNET,
the publisher stated that this vehicle was designed for city living.
Furthermore, Edmunds
reported that this SUV improved on performance, cargo utility and passenger
space. Even Car
& Driver felt that the 2020 Ford Escape offered smoother styling. While
we don't have the newest safety ratings, we can expect them to be exceptional.
This Ford SUV now comes with a rearview camera, automatic emergency braking and
blind-spot warning all as part of the Ford Co-Pilot 360.
Exterior Colors
The new 2020 Ford Escape comes in 10 different exterior
color choices including Rapid Red, Star White, Velocity Blue, Sedona Orange,
Magnetic, Oxford White, Ingot Silver, Dark Persian Green, Desert Gold and Agate
Black.
