Price and Trim Levels

With the 2024 Ford Ranger, you have three trim levels to choose from. The XL trim costs less than $35,000, or you can choose one of the higher two trims for even more features.

The prices may have risen a minimal amount compared to the 2023 Ranger, but there is so much more to love this year.

Exterior Styling & Colors

With the redesigned Ranger models, you can expect dimensions of 211″ L x 79″ W x 74-76″ H. The length is the same as the previous year, but the height increased by 3" to 4", and the width adds an additional 1". You can customize the Ford truck with 16" to 18" wheels and these color options:

Engine

The 2024 Ford Ranger XL still contains the same 2.3L turbo-four engine as last year. You can also equip the truck with a more powerful 2.7L twin-turbo V6 engine, which is brand-new. There's also a Ford Ranger Raptor model that includes even more power. We can give you more information on those models if you are interested. 

Performance & MPG

The 2024 Ford Ranger XL hasn't undergone any engine changes, so it should still be 21/26 mpg with rear-wheel drive or 20/24 mpg when choosing four-wheel drive. There aren't any EPA estimates on the newest engine option yet. 

Horsepower

The 2024 Ford Ranger pushes out 270 horsepower from the base engine. With the V6 engine, you gain 315 horsepower for an even more enjoyable ride.

Transmission

Even though the 2024 Ford Ranger has two engine options, there's only one transmission. Both engine configurations are paired with a ten-speed automatic for your complete control. 

Payload

The 2024 Ford Ranger payload rating is up to 1,805 pounds, depending on the configuration chosen and whether you pick rear- or four-wheel drive. You can only get a new Ford Ranger with a 5' bed and a four-door SuperCrew configuration. The SuperCab model with the 6' bed has been discontinued.

Curb Weight

The 2024 Ford Ranger has a slightly higher curb weight than last year, now rated from 4,203 to 5,325 pounds. Additionally, the gross vehicle weight now measures between 6,050 and 6,790 pounds.

Towing Capacity

The towing capacity on the 2024 Ford Ranger hasn't changed, even with the new upgrades. Expect to tow up to 7,500 pounds, depending on the configuration, even though this can be achieved with either engine.

Safety Features

The 2024 Ford Ranger includes a standard rearview camera, plus automated emergency braking and forward collision warning. If you desire more, consider adding adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, or other technologies for more security.

Seating & Interior Design

The new Ranger SuperCrew includes enough space to hold five people comfortably. You can also customize the interior to include premium cloth or leather upholstery in either Ebony or Sandstone. 

Infotainment & Technology

The 2024 Ford Ranger is ready to supply every connectivity and entertainment need you have. The base model comes standard with a 10.1" infotainment system, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB port, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Once safety ratings are available for the 2024 Ford Ranger, we will share them. In the meantime, Car and Driver says, "The cabin has received a big makeover and now features a large, vertically oriented infotainment system similar to the one found that's an option on higher-end models of the Edge SUV."
