2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Release Date
The 2022 Ford F-150 lineup is scheduled to arrive at
dealerships this fall. Most likely, the Raptor models will arrive a little
later than some of the other trim levels.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Payload
The high-output 3.5-liter V6 engine is rated for up to 1,400 pounds. Adding a V8 engine may change the capability slightly.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Configurations
Ford F-150 Raptor trucks can be configured with a SuperCab or SuperCrew setup. With either one, you can expect enough room to hold five or six people with ease. The Raptor models are not available as a Regular Cab option but might be in the future.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Transmission
The new Ford F-150 Raptor includes the same ten-speed automatic transmission that was found in the previous lineup. Even with the V8 addition, we are still expecting the transmission to carry over.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Interior Improvements
The 2022 Ford F-150 includes every feature you dream about, including the high-end twin-panel moonroof. You can expect the same level of technology in the new Raptor as with the previous models. Look for top-notch connectivity features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a large touchscreen display.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Engine
New Ford F-150 Raptor trucks will come with the same 450-horsepower 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine as the previous lineup. This motor produces 510 pound-feet of torque for better performance. However, there will be a higher-powered option available with the Raptor R models.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Towing Capacity
The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor with the V6 engine tows up to 8,200 pounds, remaining unchanged from the previous lineup. There are no tow ratings on the V8 engine option yet.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor MPG
The 3.5-liter V6 engine in the Ford F-150 Raptor models earns an estimated 15/18 mpg. Adding a V8 will alter some of the figures but also increases the power substantially.

2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Length
The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor features a length of 220" or 231.0", based on the chosen configuration. These figures aren't going to change with the 2022 Raptor lineup. The measurements should remain the same until a complete Raptor redesign occurs.
2022 vs. 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Bed Length
Whichever F-150 Raptor you choose, there is only a 5.5' bed size available. We don't expect any longer truck beds to be offered anytime soon, as the Raptor is designed to head off-road.
2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R
The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor R is going to be the high-performance version of the lineup. It hasn't been available previously and should include the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that powers the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. More information will be available soon, but it's clear this pickup is ready to take on the Ram 1500 TRX powered by the Hellcat engine.
