The high-output 3.5-liter V6 engine is rated for up to 1,400 pounds. Adding a V8 engine may change the capability slightly.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor with the V6 engine tows up to 8,200 pounds, remaining unchanged from the previous lineup. There are no tow ratings on the V8 engine option yet.

It hasn't been available previously and should include the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that powers the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. More information will be available soon, but it's clear this pickup is ready to take on the Ram 1500 TRX powered by the Hellcat engine.
